Maybe this should go in the general forum, but he's deployed, so here goes.
Well, he got assigned to be the NCO for the LNO(i can't remember what it stands for, but he's the liason contactF) between his unit and the dutch troops, and got moved to a dutch base in Afghanistan. He hates it. Since he's been there, he's one of only three americans on the whole base, he can't use the phone, and they charge him 10 cents a minute for the internet. Needless to say, we don't communicate as much as we used too.
BUT...he managed to find the time, get online and search around, and I just got the mail...In it, is a gift certificate for a massage, full body sea kelp wrap, mani, pedi, haircut, and make over, from the best spa in town! He knows how stressed I am right now, and probably paid ten dollars just to do this for me!!!
Is it any wonder that I love that man???

that is sweet! And dang you're already 13 months in, so he should be back soon?

yeah, he was supposed to be home a month ago :( But due to the deployment extensions,he's coming home in mid April...I'm still excited though!!!Yay!!!although i do know that I'm going to owe him a ton of butt massages for this(his favorite thing in the world)
