What swing are you looking at getting or you use/used?

I used the Aquarium swing by Fisher Price with both kiddos. I kind of like this (http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=2002&e=product&pid=35543) one, though, since we were constantly running out of batteries!

I REALLY love the Sweet Peacehttp://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=7977230 as well but its really pricey and since a wonderful friend is buying me the Soothing Motions Glider http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4241548 I didn't think it was neccesary to buy the Sweet Peace vs the swing.

I used the Ocean's Aquarium one with Jerron and it was really nice. I love the cradle swings! Mine still had the battery only feature though and man I went through some batteries. I like the newer swings now have the plug in feature... they cost a tad more but worth it in what you save in expensive D batteries!
get out of my brain Cori lol I was JUST looking at some.. MIL was asking me if I started a registry so I was adding to it.
:giggle Us preggos think alike! I am on a roll today! I am looking up all kinds of things. I am making a registry at Walmart right now. Eventhough with Jerron no one bought me 1 darn thing off of it. :lol

The Papasan ones do plug in!! :D
The are $120 at Walmart. I paid $100 for the Ocean's Aquarium swing we used with Jerron and mine only used batteries and man that was pricey so I think they are worth the extra money. :yes

I love the papasan swings. We're either going with the Starlight one or this swing http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2957946 Which ever one has the plug in option, which I believe is the papasan, is the one we're getting!

I've been kind of leery of the Rainforest line. They're cute and colorful, but a lot of pieces from the line have been recalled.

I got the full sized Rainforest one for Cam and he loved that thing! We now have the Graco Lovin' Hug swing because it holds more weight and he loved his swing so much that we asked the grandparents to get him one that would hold his weight for Christmas. :)

I have A papasan already (original model that doesn't have an AC adapter) and we are getting the sweet peace. There are features on it that completely sold me on it. One of them being that you can take out it's seat and pop in a Greco carseat... Like if you get home and the baby is still asleep from the car.. you can put the carseat right on there to keep them sleeping. You can hook an MP3 player up to it... it has womb sounds... I just really like it. It also plugs in, which is a huge plus to me as well. I always have 2 swings so that'll be my second for the livingroom. I keep one either in the nursery and my room as well.

I originally wanted that pink papasan if we are having a girl.. but I saw it in person and it'd very bright :lol

Where did you get the sweet peace? It sounds awesome.

We don't have it yet but we've seen it at Babies R us and Baby Depot. I'll be picking t up soon. I'm getting all of the gender neutral stuff right now like furniture, and the swings.

Here is the link.. watch the video and everything. It's pretty damn neat. Pricey but neat.

The way the base is, it's just as sturdy as any other swing. We've went and played around with it at the stores at least 6 times now :lol

Yes it does :yes

ETA: Under the "sensibility" part of the video it has a "power options" part that tells you it can be powered with the included AC adapter.

To me that's the same thing as a swing (especially since you can face the seat outward where the baby is moving in the same motion as a swing). I already have a papasan swing and I have always had 2 swings so I don't have to move it around :yes I keep a swing in my room.. or the nursery and the other in the livingroom.

I think maybe I will get a papasan and that one.. one can stay downstairs and one upstairs. I know I wont be able to get the damn thing up the stairs and back down on a daily basis, its hard enough getting the laundry LOL

You would NOT want to carry those things up and down stairs. They are actually pretty heavy. I plan on having the sweetpeace in the livingroom :D

Ladies I have a question for you. Several of you mentioned that you wanted a swing for upstairs and one downstairs. Why? Do you really spend that much time upstairs?

I'm curious because we also have a 2 story house. We still have our Fisher Price Aquarium swing, that we planned on using downstairs (where I spend most of my time). We also have the small portable swing that we'll be keeping upstairs, so that I can jump in the shower or if I'm putting away clothes. But realistically, I don't spend that much time upstairs. Right now I can't justify buying another swing.

So, tell me why do you ladies need another one upstairs? I want to know if there is something that I'm missing or not thinking of.:teehee It's been 2 1/2 years since we've had a "baby" and I feel like I'm forgeting things already!

As a few ladies already said.. I used the Fisher Price Aqarium swing. They do tend to eat up the batteries, but we just invested in some rechargable ones. My son actually slept in this swing for a couple months when he was a baby.. I loved it. I love that you can set it to swing side to side, or turn it so it swings front to back.
