Did you ever work out or drink alchohol while you were pregnant, but you didnt know you were pregnant yet? And if so, how far along were you when you found out?

I had gone to a party and drank while I was about 3 weeks pregnant with Kylee, but I didn't find out I was pregnant for a couple more weeks. She's fine, but for the longest time I was scared to death. That was actually the LAST time I drank anything alcoholic besides some wine on new years.
My friend is pregnant and she wtill goes to the gym like normal. I think that's ok to go to the gym or whatever as long as you don't lift wieghts or do more aerobics than you're used to doing.

I had about half a bottle of kaluha (not all at once) and a few shots of whiskey before I found out. I had been told by the hospital that I wasn't... obviously they were wrong. But, from what I was told, the baby most likely either was working on implantingor had just implanted so there's not a problem. Ive stopped, obviously lol.

My friend's mother drank and smoked pot for the first 3 months of being pregnant with her (she didn't know she was pregnant) and my friend is the most successful, most intelligent of her children.

I hear stories all the time (myself included) about women who go out and party and drink and then found out after that they were pregnant. I think it happens quite a bit. I had been working out when I found out that I was pregnant with Madelyn and the doc just told me to tone it down some.

I'm one of those babies. :lmao My mom was on serious rx's for her rheumatoid arthritis, and drinking occasionally for months without knowing she was pregnant with me. They told her I was probably going to be deaf and blind, maybe worse. I'm the smallest person in my family, and I have the worst eyes, teeth, and hair, but I'm also the smartest! I know that sounds conceited, but it's true. :lmao

Oh, and she also went through a hiking phase out in the Colorado Rockies before she knew too. My poor mom - she still talks about how worried she was once she realized she was pregnant almost 30 years later.

Actually I was quite the drinker before I had dd. I found out I was pregnant when I was 6 weeks and was out in the bars drinking the night before. I probably got smashed a few times a week while I was prego but before I found out. I can recall twice that I had a few O'Douls while pregnant :D

Best bet would be to quit drinking of your TTC. I did and then when it was taking months and I wasn't ovulating I got really drunk once after a command function. That happened to be within days of me getting pregnant. Getting all of that junk out of your system if your TTC is a good idea.

i did, i had a glass of champagne on new years eve and found out I was pregnant about a week later. Working out is perfectly find while pregnant and before pregnancy actually it's recommended. You just want to make sure you drink enough water and keep your caloric intake up.

I drank within the first few weeks of both my pregnancys. Obviously not knowing that I was pregnant but still, it scares you especially with the first one, you think your terrible and something is going to happen to the baby but my little man came out just fine. Then at the start of this one I had taken a test and it came back negative so I drank for DHs going away party and took a test a couple days later and sure enough that one said positive! With the first one I only drank a smirnoff (sp) and then this pregnacny for DHs going away party, I got rather smashed...my bad. But she's a healthly little girl, she's already a pound heavy then what she's suppose to be, but other then that she's doing well and growing like she's suppose to and will be here in two more months!

If you think you might be pregnant or that it's possible, just don't drink :) ;)

Working out is fine as long as you're drinking plenty of water. You may have to lighten your workout after you get pregnant but if you're working out heavy before you find out it's fine. Drinking even just one alcoholic drink is more of a concern than working out.

I know that I was drunk a few times before I found out I was preggo with my son and he turned out fine....lol. they said i concieved new years and I was realllllllllllly drunk that night. I was so worried til the day he was born.

From what I have read ( I am ttc too!! ) Working out in moderation is ok. You do not want to over do it.

GOOD LUCK TTC!!! I am hoping to be prego by friday;)

I understand those who drank when they did NOT know you did not know you were preggo, but if you're CLEARLY ttc-ing, why take the risk?!?!

Sure your babies came out fine, but do babies come out fine 100% of the time? Probably NOT.......

I don't really drink but we went out and I got hammered playing pool... I found out I was pregnant 5 days later, but I was only about 5 days past ovulation when that happened and so the baby had yet to implant. I found out I was pregnant very early...10Days past ovulation. But before that I hadn't drank in a good 6 months. I was just stressed with life and TTC and everything and needed to relax.

I actually have a friend who went through back surgery pregnant. The hospital was supposed to test before they did anything, and they forgot to, so she went through x rays, anesthesia, surgery, pain medication, etc, before she found out she was pregnant. Her son was fine. (Not that I recommend back surgery while pregnant, mind you)

With working out, the way I was always told it, if you walk 5 miles a day for months before you get preggo, your body's used to it. They just don't want you to start something like cardio kickboxing the day you find out you're preggo, because your body could start flushing out all of it systems because it's not used to the strenuous workout.
