Hi all. My fiance leaves for boot camp on the 4th of March. I am going to be living at my mom's while he is gone. I need to leave this Friday. He needs to go to drill for the weekend so he figured I should just go early. I am going to miss him so much. How do you all get through this? I wake up every morning and realize it isn't a dream, it is really happening. I am happy for him and proud of him, but I hate being away from him.
How long does it usually take before you receive communication?
Need lots of support.

Hey girl, your man leaves on my hubbies birthday hehe. I'm not gonna lie, when DH left for boot, it was the hardest thing I've ever had to handle in my entire life. And it didn't even kick in until the next morning after he left. I realized I couldn't just call him anymore and say good morning, and I lost it! The first and last week are the worst. First being because you miss him so much, last because it's so close you just can't wait any longer! I'm in college so I kept busy, and I suggest you do the same (keep busy that it). It only took me a week to hear from DH, but it all depends where they go. DH was in Jackson for BCT. Where's your DF going?

Anyway, good luck and stay strong!

i didn't hear from my DF till about a week and half after he left. one of the wrost weeks because your used to have him there and then all of a sudden he's gone. i find myself hating the last week too. i can't wait to see my DF again and this week is taking forever (he is supposed to be home from boot camp on friday)
