To those of you that have been around know about our friend Michael who was burned over 80% of his body from a roadside bomb in iraq almost a year ago, all the other guys he was with were killed except for him.
He had a real hard struggle this past year. His Mom was my Operation Baby Blanket Mom while DH was deployed and we all became very close even before her son was injured.
Well he is slowly recovering, he had quite a few touch and gos but now hes doing a lot better. I just got pics today of how he looks and its just incredible.
I want to post pics of his before and after but to those that have never seen it its really hard to look at.
Anyways Monday, at Ft. Sam Houston in the hospital is his Purple Heart award being presented to him at 1300. Annabelle and I will probably be attending.
If anyone else that has contacted him and his mom and sent cards and well wishes in the past wants to go let me know and I will give you the info.
