I would definitely consider getting professional maternity pics taken. My sister and mom don't understand why people would do this and think it's odd. So I posted this poll wondering what you all think? Enjoy!

i think that the pregnant body is absolutely GORGEOUS.
i also like the idea of capturing the moment... you can show your little ones 'look, you are in there!' and it makes great mementos later :)

No. They're not my thing. I have one belly pic from a couple of weeks before Cam was born (at my baby shower)...but I hate having pics done...

I wish I had had some done when I was pregnant with Cameron. I doubt we would have been able to afford it though. I think when we have another one I will have to find the money to do them though.

I plan on getting them done... if Breezy moves out this way in time. :D

it depends on where you go and what all you do. You can do them yourself with a good camera and a tripod.

i think most pregnant photos are beautiful! I would get some done for a personal album. But my body isn't in the shape in needs to be in to show off to everyone else. I feel a little insecure about posting updated belly pics, but some many other girls do on here and it makes it more comfortable.

I used to model when I was smaller for a small clothing company and then I started modeling for my friend, an aspiring photographer, so I'm all about having my picture taken professionally. However, I'm feeling so fat! I'm going to get them done, I just hope they can make me look like one of those cute little preggos.

i can't wait to get pregnant and have them done, I think it captures the emotions and love of being pregnant!!!

I wanted to have some done while I was pregnant with Kylee, but couldn't afford it... they're expensive!! I didn't even have a camera when I was pregnant with her so I don't even have very many pictures from while I was pregnant with her. This time around I hope to get to go to JC Penney or something and get some pictures of me pregnant and maybe with Kylee kissing my belly or something. I will deficately include her in any pictures I get. She's my first baby and I don't want her to feel like this baby is going to take over.

I would love to get them done, one day when I start having babies. one of our family friends (whose a photographer) does the body casting of the tummies and paints them and stuff...I want to get that done too, I think the pregnant body is beautiful also!

I am going to. I have only taken two photos so far, and I am approaching 31 weeks. AND, my husband is deployed. I suck. I want professiona so they can edit out all the veins, pasty skin color, etc and make me look all artsy fartsy.

From a BTDT mom, I am glad I had mine. DH loved seeing the pictures since he was gone. I now laugh at how huge I was. It was a great way to capture everything. I also had the same photographer in my delivery room taking pictures of DD's birth. I highly recomend that too. She made a video for us from the pictures, it's beautiful. As odd as it sounds, it's something I can share with other moms and parents to be. I always get great comments after they've seen it. I know you can't have everyone there so it's a great way to share those moments. Not to mention that it helped DH feel included because he couldn't be there. I still cry every time I see it. She did a great job and it was very tasteful. Besides, it's amazing what you forget about pregnancy and child birth as time passes, these photos and videos help keep those memories alive.

I have a friend who is going to take some for me this weekend. Should be fun. I cant wait.
