Caimbrie 02-26-2008, 08:49 PM I was VERY specific this time about what I wanted. I looked at babies r us and I just don't like their inflated prices so I found the perfect set for what I wanted at Baby Depot.
*~*Cori*~* 02-26-2008, 08:54 PM My Mom bought mine from BabiesRUs when I was pregnant with Jerron. He NEVER slept in it but maybe a handful of times and it went into storage when he was 6 mths and so its like a brand new crib. It cost $400 so I am not getting another one unless when we put it together there is something wrong with it. Im excited to get it put up!
Steph* 02-26-2008, 08:56 PM We got a really nice crib at the Pearl Harbor Navy Exchange. It now holds all of Zoe's toys :lol she sleeps with us :)
I got mine at Ikea. It was a good price and I liked the way it looked (the employee discount helped too ;) )

I think i will take DH to Ikea tomorrow night, cause we have that here in Italy. thanks for all the ideas ladies. I cant believe how much they have gone up in price in the last few years
CAmom4721 02-26-2008, 09:59 PM I got Cameron's at Target. It's the Simplicity model in cherry wood (http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/ref=sc_pgc_r_3_0_3145001/601-1276886-1112933?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=1&asin=B0001UD18W) that converts from a crib to a toddler bet to a full size bed. It will last him until he leaves home, and maybe beyond there even. It was $249 so we figured that was a great deal for how much use he'll be able to get out of it. I also like that it is completely solid, the side doesn't slide down or anything. I know Cam would eventually figure that feature out if it did do that so it's nice not having to worry about it.
Polkadot 02-26-2008, 09:59 PM I just got a great small mag in the mail from JcPenney and their cribs look really nice I'm thinking of getting our's from there .

I got the entire "Morgan" set in Espresso from JC Penney. So far, I have only received the BOTTOM of the two part corner bookshelf. The rest is all backordered. It must be popular, as I have been looking at it for months, and it is ALWAYS backordered.
I like it for many reasons, and I am picky. I don't like "stick or post" like "feet" on a crib. (you can see what I mean by viewing "other views" when enlarging the crib). This one, at the bottom, is really solid and almost flat on the ground. I like how it looks as a toddler bed, and single bed. I LOVE the other furniture for the "decor" on it. The little bumps or balls (lol) that are along the top. I like that the changer top comes off and it is a nightstand, and I LOVE a corner bookshelf. It was the most original thing I have found and I didn't even find anything that was a close second. Even sets that cost $5k plus. So, I got it. So far the bottom bookshelf seems really well made, really sturdy, not "pressed" wood, etc.

Same here.. but I don't think that they have those everywhere. I got mine in NC, but I know they dont have them here in OK.
JustBreathe 02-27-2008, 12:19 AM I (L) Ikea. Also does Sears sell cribs? We try to buy all our big purchases from Sears because they have really good customer service and warranties.

I was looking at those 3 & 4 in one cribs also, but I just read the description on the one you posted and I think I may change my mind. It says full size frame and mattress not included, so for $299, it doesn't seem like that great of a deal anymore :(
CAmom4721 02-27-2008, 12:37 AM Well it basically is the headboard and foot board when you turn it into a full size bed. Of course it's not going to come with the full size mattress, and when you buy the mattress set the frame is usually like an extra $40 or whatever so we still felt like it was good value for us. We won't have to buy a separate toddler bed when the crib is done and then when he moves out of that, we'll just have to get him a mattress set and frame, which we'd have to do anyway, and he'll have a nice headboard and foot board to go with it already. It really is a very nice crib, we have been completely happy with it.
Mrs.Highfill 02-27-2008, 12:50 AM Shhh don't tell my hubby... I got Peyton's furniture on Craigslist!! Shhhhh it's a secret!

Elizabeth 02-27-2008, 06:00 AM It's pretty difficult getting them shipped overseas so if you find one in town or at AAFES that's good!

taraw226 02-27-2008, 10:13 PM we ordered all our baby furniture online from JC Penney. shipping was crazy (luckily my parents paid for it lol), but they might deliver to the store now or something.
HeatherA. 02-27-2008, 10:17 PM That is the exact set I think I am going to get!
Actually, they just called me today and it will all be in by this weekend. This past weekend, as far as they had info, it was still backordered, so I am pretty happy. I will take a pic and post it, as well as assess the quality for you.
Shipping is terrible, but I went ahead and did the save 50% thing and am just picking it up from the store. I am having someone I know bring it into the house and up the stairs.
usn47gf 02-27-2008, 10:19 PM I saw a dark wood one @ the NEX and pointed it out to DF. He, of course, said "dont get any ideas". HA. But it was gorgeous!!
