When I met DH, I was in college. He has always been very supportive of my education. Well, I quit school when I moved to WA. Since we were only going to be there for a few months before transfering, I didn't even bother with looking into classed there. Well now we are settled in NV. The closest school to me in University of Nevada-Reno. They have a Criminal Justice program. The problem I'm running into is that they have pretty different requirements. I was attending the University of Missouri - St. Louis back home. There I would only need 35 credits to graduate and I would graduate with Latin Honors. If I go to UNR, I would have to take approx. 50 or more credits!!! :wowsers My DH has said countless times that I could go home and finish school but that doesn't seem fair to me. Plus I don't want to be away from him, especially since we are about to have a child. At this point, I dunno whether I should just pay the money and take the extra classes, go home and finish school, or wait until he's out of the military to finish (He's going to stay in until retirement if possible). :arg Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!!! TIA!!!

can you do online from the school back home? or maybe look at doing an online school in general that you wouldn't have to take the additional 15 credits? ( how many classes would that be anyway?

are you going full time or part time? because those 15 extra credits are only a semester full time and you could do summer courses...I would personally stay and just do the extra 15 credits

Yeah...it should only be a semester of classes. I guess we'll just have to sit down and figure out what's better financially for us. And I can do some classes online at my old school but there are some that are campus only. Thanks for the help.

can you get in state tuition ( i know some states offer that for the military spouses as well as the AD member which could save you some money that way.

Yes...I do believe that they will give me in state tutition. And I'm not sure if I can go to the local community college first or not. I already have an AA and 85 credits. I know schools will only allow you to transfer so many in. :confuzzle I think I may call UNR and see if I can meet with someone before applying. I don't want to pay the application fee without knowing for sure.

Yeah, UNR admission people are really nice. I think you should try to talk to TMCC too because i think you can transfer even though that you already have your AA and 85 credits. Also, classes at TMCC are 100% guarantee transferable to UNR..

I can ask some people for you if you want. I go to TMCC right now.

Thanks! I think I'll try to call UNR and see what they say.
