do you need a referral from a regular dentist to go and see a orthodontist? Savannah will be 9 soon and has most of her adult teeth, just only has 4 baby teeth left. I would like to take her to an ortho to find out what is going to happen with her, her teeth are really crooked.

anyone know?

Yes. But most ortho's do free consults. I can give you the name and number of mine if yopu'd like. He is awesome and the first visit which includes xrays etc is totally free

I don't think you do...not in the paper sense that is.
We have an orthodontist in our dental office but we have a few patients(UC pt's) who went elsewhere for their treatment and we never gave them a paper referal and UC pays for their ortho treatment.

You can actually see most dental specialists without a paper referal from a dentist now a days actually.

I am not 100% sure...but we did not get one when we took DD#2 for her Ortho. But the Ortho office is connected to the Dentist office. We did her consult, and they did the rest. UC has paid for it all...minus our part of course.

Mine is an all in one so I am sure if I needed one they would do one within the practice.
