DB is at Quantico for the next few months, we want to go into DC to see the parade at 8th and I when that starts up this summer!

Ha it was very neat, I had never seen them before. It was kinda funny one of the guys faces was so red I swear my friend and I thought he was going to faint...lol. But they were so good, they did some songs from the Jersey Boys, was so cool.

Aww Id (L) to see them! I hope when df an I move we go to a usmc base an we'll have the chance to see that.

I was there too. It was really neat except I had two marines chicks behind me who wouldn't shut up for the life of them.

That parade is really good! It's well worth seeing, sometimes it was hard to get in though.

My ex-hubby was the Rifle Inspector for the Silent Drill Platoon for 1.5 years and a member of the team for several years before that, I've seen the show 100's of times. During the summer, from the end of March through the beginning of October they perform every Tuesday night at the Iwo Jima memorial and every Friday night at the 8th & I Marine Barracks Parade Grounds. The one at Iwo is free 1st come, 1st serve seating. The one at 8th & I is free too, but you REALLY have to get there early or advance reserve your tickets by calling the barracks. It's a good show and lots of fun.

Ok I just had to say something... My man guards the SDP!!!! If anyone goes to see a parade, you are likely to see DB standing somewhere in Dress blue/whites.

The first parade this year is April 25th i think?? but the parade season ended around Aug. last year... According to db the season is always a little different each year.
