Jennygirl 03-06-2008, 03:27 PM Bump rosebud* 03-06-2008, 03:29 PM I do, but I'll have to look for it. :thinking so give me a moment. rosebud* 03-06-2008, 03:34 PM This is a basic recipe that you can expand on, I like to cut my chicken breasts up into chunks and like to use chicken broth rather then water. INGREDIENTS: 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves 2 tablespoons butter 2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of chicken soup 1 onion, finely diced 2 (10 ounce) packages refrigerated biscuit dough, torn into pieces DIRECTIONS: 1. Place the chicken, butter, soup, and onion in a slow cooker, and fill with enough water to cover. 2. Cover, and cook for 5 to 6 hours on High. About 30 minutes before serving, place the torn biscuit dough in the slow cooker. Cook until the dough is no longer raw in the center. Jennygirl 03-06-2008, 03:39 PM YUM!! you are the best! My recipe is pretty much the same as this but like Rosebud I prefer to use chicken broth over water. And I always add diced potatoes and celery as well. Oh and I use bisquick instead of the frozen dough. rosebud* 03-06-2008, 03:48 PM My recipe is pretty much the same as this but like Rosebud I prefer to use chicken broth over water. But I love a simple recipe that can be added to, I hate recipes that have like millions of ingredients that you don't know which are safe to take out. lol HeatherNichole 03-06-2008, 03:48 PM damn you!! now i am craving chicken and dumplings!! I LOVE THEM!! :D Jennygirl 03-06-2008, 03:58 PM How much broth do you use? FTCWifey 03-06-2008, 04:05 PM I usually use 1-2 cartons, depending how much I am making. And I use the low sodium kind. rosebud* 03-06-2008, 04:07 PM I use about one and 1/2 cans, but it also depends on how much broth your chicken makes on it's own as well. So i start with one and see how it looks after a while. |
