i was watching the news last night and here in charleston they have had this Miss Merry Christmas paegent (sp?) for like 20 years well now some people said it isnt right to name it the miss merry christmas because not everyone celabrates christmas. and that its brining relgion into it so now miss merry christmas will be miss winter wonder land. and as if that werent bad enough of of the girls in the beauty show was gonna be angle and she cant because ite religious! what do you think about this?? cause i think its a crock of shit!!!

I am not religious by any means. (raised a christian but now I wouldnt classify myself as any religion for the most part..I do believe in a higer power..My husband believes in no god, just evolution...He celebrates Christmas with me...But thats besides the point...) But I celebrate Christmas. I took Christmas break at school...Not winter break. It was christmas break. I have a Christmas tree in my house, I sent out christmas cards. I have christmas ornaments. I will bake christmas cookies, I have christmas lights on my house I went Christmas present shopping and by god I will teach my son all about the spirit of christmas...including the relgious aspects of it!

I just think it is dumb for people to get their panties in a bunch over something so stupid. SO what if it is a religious holiday. Big deal if not everyone celebrates. Its a time for family, friends and togetherness. People will also need to find something to bitch and complain about and find cracks in the holes to get their way....Is it that wrong to believe in something so magical and celebrate something so magical once a year? I don't think so...Bah humbug to them ;)
