Hi. Im new here and new to Military life. Im trying to gain as much information on anything and everything I can so I can be on the ball sort of speak. What is PTSD and how does it effect people and their lives/relationships.

Yes that site that she included is great! My hunny has PTSD... pretty badly. So anything you can do to educate yourself on it is great! Trust me! :) I learned the hard and long way. I'm sure you already know that it stands for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and another thing you will read a lot about when you start looking it up is concussions. Many military guys and gals get concussions from the various things...and don't even realize it!

Deff check out the site. PTSD is way to far in depth to have people even beggin to try and explain it. It also affects everyone different and some not at all. Also if you read back through these threads alot of ladies have posted stories asking for advice and what not and they may give you a birds eye view of just a very small tid bit of people dealing with it from the SO point of view
