my cats are going in to get spayed tomorrow, they'll be at the vets from 7:30-8am till after 4pm... i'm freaking out about it! i hate the idea of them being in pain, even though i know they'll be medicated... i know they'll be sore healing though and just thinking about it makes me want to cry. they're my babies and i feel so guilty for doing this to them (although i know its better for them and everyone around them in the long run)

i'm very very attached to them. i want to stay with them the whole time they're there. i'm going to be such a mess tomorrow until they're home!!!!!!

{hugs} - it will be okay!!! Yes, it will be a bit of an ordeal for them but, in the end, you are ALL going to be so much happier when it is done. Do something for yourself tomorrow to keep your mind occupied and before you know it they will be home and you can love them up!!!

Trust me they will be ok! I'm a vet tech and just left my job at a Non Profit spay neuter clinic! Cats bounce back very very quickly. They are given good pay medications and most act completly normal within hours of surgery! Just think of the health benefits for your kitties!

they've only been gone 2 hours and i miss them so much!

i felt so horrible that i couldn't feed them or let them have water, they kept looking for their food dish... squiggles went out in the kitchen where we keep an extra water and food dish, and she did a double take at the empty water dish. she looked at my mom like "what is the meaning of this???"

i just keep thinking of their little faces in the carrier! they looked so scared. i can't wait until they're back here with me so i can take care of them. i set up a little bed for them on the floor already.

i can't handle having both db and my cats gone, i'm on the verge of tears, this is really pathetic but i want them home NOW!

Cutting off the food and water is the worst part - they certainly know how to make their human feel guilty, don't they?

AHH i called the vet's to see how it went, and they're just starting to wake up, everything went fine... i can't wait till they're home!

i cried when i dropped my dog off to be neutered! they let me cuddle with him for a few minutes and he was fine

they're home, they're very sleepy, but they seem to be doing fine... i feel so much better knowing they're home, but i won't be totally okay until i know they're not sore anymore! my poor babies!

My kitty just got spayed last week. She was pretty groggy when she came home and slept.. she ended up not eating for 2 days so we had to take her back and get her an IV and she had a fever and need some antibiotics and of course and appetite stimulant- but after that, she was up and running around the next day. She gets her stitches out on sat :-)

aww poor baby!!

mine are both doing well... squiggles has been running around like normal since last night, you wouldn't even know she'd had surgery!
squeaky's coming around slower... she didn't eat until this afternoon, and she's still mostly lying around and sleeping. she's been up and around tonight a little, though, and i think she'll be back to normal by tomorrow. she's lying on my lap right now getting some love.
