Has anyone seen the commercials for this? My mom has a dremel that I could use to do Lucky's nails, but I am a little scared to try it. This peticure thing looks like the same concept. What do you all think about it?

I'm sorry, but its a dremel with a plastic cover......it doesn't stop you from going any further than a regular dremel would....it just stops you from accidentally dremeling their paws.....I don't think its worth it.

I was thinking that about the quick also. Now if they could make one that would prevent you from hitting the quick it would probably sell very well!

I started dremeling my dogs nails and I think it's a LOTS safer especially for my dog that has dark nails that I can't see the quick through.

i guessthe difference between the dremel and this is its supposed to be quieter not skip as much and has a thing that catches all the dust

I would just buy a dremel and not waste the money on it. We dremel all three dogs and it's MUCH better for their nails. We dremel outside because you really should dremel in a well ventilated area any how.

As far as the bolded part, that will come with experience. Once you get the gist of the dremel it won't skip and bump. I can do three dogs in under 10 minutes. All but one have black nails.
