My Super Hero: Gina Williams
My wife is no ordinary woman; special is the word that would fit.
When I leave on a six month deployment, she can show me the bright side of it.
She can tell me that things will get better, and show me through thought and a plan.
But I never will doubt any of it, ‘cause she always comes through in the end.
Now we close on re-enlistment, with six more years on the line.
With knowing the struggles she’ll be facing, she supports this dedication of time.
Knowing that as I am signing, the signature might as well be her own.
Knowing that in the near future, she will be left all alone.
I go out to sea for my country, fighting for what I believe,
She fights the good fight on the homeland, as she is waiting for me.
No physical hugs and kisses, just e-mail’s with X’s and O’s.
And videotapes of me reading, to our beautiful girls back home.
Although she does not wear a uniform, she means as much to our freedom as me.
It’s this type of love and sacrifice, that keeps this Country free.
I don’t know why I just wrote this, but it can say that it just felt right.
And I will appreciate every second, that I hold you in my arms tonight.
The only reason I am ending, is cause I wanna send this before class.
I am so lucky to have found such a woman, and I know that our love will last.
I love you Gina Williams.
Thanks for reading, and I love this man so much!
