i woke up today to find my squeaky cat trying to bite out her stitches... it was horrible! she didn't get any of them out, but she irritated the incision and it was bleeding a little... i got her to stop, and i've been watching her today to make sure she doesn't bother it anymore.

is there a way to keep her from biting at them? or do i just need to watch her until they come out? i thought for sure i was going to have to do an emergency vet visit today... it was scary:sadeyes

You could go to petco and get her an elizabethan collar (e-collar) to keep her from getting at her stitches. She might be ok with putting a little tshirt on her as well.

she's bit two of them out today.

i called the vet, and they said as long as it's not bleeding (it isn't) she should be okay for the night, but i have to call again in the morning and they might have me bring her in to get fixed up. i hate the idea of putting one of those collars on her, but i might have to do that.
