Has anyone ever had a problem with taking a home pregnancy test and it showing negitive and your period not showing up?

Here's a little background.....My last period was in March. I've taken 4 hpt's and all have shown negitive. I went to the clinic and they did a pee test and it showed negitive. They told me that if my period doesn't show up within 2 weeks to come back and they will give me a blood test and go from there. So here i am playing the waiting game trying to no get my hopes up that im pregnant. We've been trying for 4 yrs to have another child and its hard to not get your hopes up. I have some signs of pregnancy like dizziness, feeling sick but not getting sick, boobs are tender, and no period. Why else would a period not show up :dunno

you should go to the hopspital to be sure-you can definitely have a false negative! Good luck!

Yep. I have poly cystic ovarian syndrome and when I don't take my metformin I can go months without getting a period. You can not get a period if you didn't ovulate, stress etc. There are alot of factors. Or obviously pregnancy. I went thru YEARS of this while trying for my son. I would get sore boobs etc but it would be like PMS. A ovarian cyst (which I get all the time) can also cause no period.

G'luck to you

Yes!!
My last period was in March and I'm still late, two home tests said negative, still no period. This is the second time it's happened to me. THe first time was in Febuary: Period in Jan, went to the doc in March casue I had missed a month and they did blood test, negative....then finally the end of March it showed up....I have ovarian cysts that have been causing problems though so I have an appt tomorrow to see whats up... up until January though I was regular...
I would go see a doc though, but it could be just stress and such...good luck though!

oh how I remember this feeling... lol since it was last month haha

My last period was Feb 7th two weeks later no period... 7 negs... 14 days later my first positive.. turns out the stress that was going on in my life... car accident, school, just being a busy mommy, delayed my ovulation so.... anyway... that is my story. I hope you find out soon.

Sometimes the HGC levels in your urine aren't high enough to pick them up on those tests....so sometimes you need a blood test to confirm it.
I hope everything goes well....good luck!

Delayed ovulation or an anovulatory cycle?
