I know there have to be others doing this. I'm working with DD on very basic concepts, like letter/number recognition, tracing (and beginning writing) right now. I have some preschool workbooks and am making up letter/number tracing pages for her right now.

Anyone have any other ideas??

I was looking for something like this too. We have been working with Riley for quite a few months now, but after his diagnosis, I am thinking I should have more of a plan. I have bought a lot of educational toys/puzzles/etc. But I am wondering if I should be making a more detailed plan.

I have a little book of toddler games and songs that are educational, and help with motor skills and speech too, so that's been a great help!

If anyone has any sites, I would love to take a look!

I've bought some preschool level workbooks from walmart and even dollar tree, when I can find them, and she's great at the matching this to that, and even the which sounds like the other.. she counts fairly well too, so now I'm mainly stressing the letter/number recognition and beginning writing. I'd love some input on exercises to help her with pencil/crayon control.

This isn't exactly homeschooling, but my kiddos watch the videos from Leapfrog and have learned tons from them. T can actually read, and I know that isn't normal progress, but Laney knows her letters upper and lower, and the sound each makes. I give some credit to those shows.
We work with a workbook too, and that is about as far as we have gotten, but they both meet the Kindergarten *suggested* requirements.

I'm starting something like this as well.

I purchased these off of Amazon...You might be interested in the activities book(one is a preschool book that has 500+ pages and has tips and the other is 365 games & activities to do with them :tu):

I bought some stuff from thelearningboxpreschool.com It comes with a monthly cirriculum, plus all of the stuff that you need for each day. It was a little pricey, but it has done wonders for Caleb and me since I really had no clue what I was doing. :yes

schoolzone.com has lots of workbooks, flashcards, and reading books for most levels. There is a lot on clearance right now.

For counting/numbers, numbered dot-to-dots are good. For letter recognition, coloring sheets OF the letters are good. Write names of things(in lower case, since that is how she will see most letters in books) on index cards and place them around the house so she associates the object with the word. Singing songs helps them learn.

You can get letter mats and tell her to stand on the A, sit on the Y, etc. I believe they sell them at Target fairly cheaply. We got ours from a grandparent who found the almost complete set at goodwill.

I thought of you yesterday b/c of this post...WHen I went to Walmart, I seen some flashcards there. They have a lot of different ones, but I bought a pack that has 1-10, colors, shapes, rhyming words, and just different words. So that is something to consider- flashcards.

There were abc's, 1-25, phonetics, etc.

Hey Rach, the dollar store is a good place for them too! They had quite a variety of Disney ones there and I also got a ton of neat crap like calendars, stickers, erasers, crayons, chalk, paper, etc. Lots of small classroom type things you can get there for really cheap too! :five

We have so many different decks of flashcards.. :giggle They're great, as long as you can hold the kid's attention.. Dollar tree has some great stuff too... I've found workbooks and all sorts of learning materials there.. We're on a little break, and have been for a while because we both got a bit burned out.. She's beginning to ask what letter things start with and what sound each letter makes a lot more, so her interest is definately still there..
