ok...this is my husband's 3rd time getting deployed...he hasn't been in four years...his first two deployments were back when we were crossing over for the first time...Now I have a friend whose husband has been deployed twice recently and they are saying that there is extra pay when you deploy more than once...this is what they say...the first time you just normal extra...the second time you get $500 over the normal extra and the third time you get $750 over the normal extra and the fourth time and so on will be $1000 extra...is this correct...I can't find anything that says that...I mean I don't care about the money but it would be great to know before hubby leaves (this was a volunteer deployment)...

I'm pretty much numb to everything military. I just smile and nod when my husband talks. I'm slowly, but surely starting to get things down. I have no clue about the specifics of deployment pay. I do know that this is my husbands fourth deployment and he is bringing in $1000 a month for all the extra he gets paid. Don't know if that helps, but it fits into what you said, so I thought I would throw it out there.

nope, you don't get anything more based on the # of times deployed. Just the standard hazard pays, etc
