We decided on a boy's name.. DH had a very close friend since Kindergarten who was killed 2 years ago. His name was Clayton Julian which I was not a fan of for some reason... So we decided on..
Silas Clayton
I've always loved the name Silas and we can honor Clay at the same time.

Girl's name is a different story.. I LOVE the name Lilliana Jane and call her Lilly Jane. My mom's name is Lillian and I think with the a at the end it's so pretty! He hates it. My 3 brothers didn't like Lilliana either... They all think it's "too much."

So what do you think ladies?

I think the boys name is perfect. I'm a lit. freak so it reminds of Silas Marner! LOVE IT!

Also for the girls name, I really like Lilliana too, but since he does like it. What about Eliana or Alivia (olivia but with an A?) That way you could call her Ellie or Elle. I think Jane still works with both of those.

hahaha! It is a good book!

I'm happy I could help you with those names. I love the name Ellie for a little girl. It's cute, classic and innocent, and not very common!

I have a friend whose name is Lilliana and I love it! She goes by Lily, but every once in a while we break out her real name because we think it is so pretty.

I think I'm just going to start referring to the baby as Lilliana and maybe it will stick :giggle

well, if you're going to call her Lilly anyway, why not just do Lillian like your mom? would your dh go for that?
that's wonderful that you're honoring his friend for the boy's name.

For some reason I don't like it when both the names have the same ending sound.. That's why I didn't like Clayton Julian because of the N's and the same thing with Lillian Jane.. I'm being picky I know!:P
