do you guys have any books about surviving deployment you can recommend? i have separated by duty, united by love, and it was extremely helpful, but i finished it in about...20 minutes. i'd love something a little more substantial if there's something out there! any suggestions?

hmmmmm as far as like in depth reading...there really isnt anything out there. All books are kind of the same to me when I read them.

not really. i have a book called "So You Married the Military" and i learned a lot. More for newcomers though. Not very substantial either. :thinking Hmmm, no. I tried to look when DH first left too but came across too many other war story books that had me in tears by the time i left the bookstore, so i changed focus to fun books.

I don't recommend, "While They're at War" or "Operation Homecoming" both are incredibly depressing.

I have Surviving Deployment, A Year of Absence( good, but sad at the same time), Operation HOmecoming, LIfe After Deployment, etc etc. I actually have tons. jUst depends on what your looking for, I read ones on soldiers experiances, homecoming, how to cope, etc etc
Here is a great site for all military books http://www.militaryfamilybooks.com
Im reading a great novel right now about a girl who's boyfriend deploys, her mom is a reporter over in the middle east, its just about family, love, patriotism and sacrifice,
really good read. Called Ever After by Karen Kingsbury
