I used to be one many moons ago, but we didn't have unit support so I quit.

I just became one... I'm still waiting to do the training. I knew I wanted to be one... I hate being out of the loop, so I'm getting as "in" the loop as I can, lol :)

I don't blame you... I have been there. It is so not worth it to volunteer your time when you put in more than you get out of it. LUCKILY the command we are with now has an active KVN, I actually enjoy it this time. lol.

I was one in Okinawa but was never kept up to date on things so I quit. Here there is really no need to be one.

KV checking in. the only thing i'm not liking is that KV's will soon be out of a position with the USMC switching over to Family Readiness world wide.

I'm not one, but I think I will take the classes and volunteer to be next deployment.

Just over halfway through deployment and I still haven't heard from my KV. No emails about the scheduled homecoming brief or any of the other important things they have sent out. Thank goodness that my friend fwd's me all of the emails she receives. The only time I have received emails is when the KVC needs rsvp's.

The Key Volunteer Network is a USMC Family Readiness Program. A KV (Key Volunteer) is basically supposed to pass along information to the wives.

I had that problem this past deployment. By time I got any information the event was a couple days away and I was scheduled to work. There are a lot of flaws with the system
