:confused
I feel so bad. We find out when DF leaves for boot camp tuesday and he should be leaveing ASAP. I am so proud that he is going and he knows that but I won't be able to go to his graduation. I will either be to far along in my pregnancy to travel or have a newborn. I feel like if I am not there I won't be supporting him but I am and I love what he is doing for himself. His parents have nothing to do with him (long story), so he doesnt have anyone to be there on those special days.
So my questions are...
1. Will the people in charge of him (Navy) let him call home because of his situation?
2. Will he get in trouble or looked down upon because he has noone there?
3. Is there a way I can buy a tape of the ceremony to watch?

After grad he could be grad and go or he could stay here and have liberty (as long as he doesn't have watch). Either way he should be able to call you that day. Phone calls during boot are up to the RDCs he gets. My hubby's recruits graduate in 3 weeks and he has only let them call home when they first got here and that was 1 call.

Nobody will look down on him if nobody is here for grad. Don't worry about that hun.

I will have to ask if there is a videotape you can buy. They do get pics taken during boot that you can buy (individual and the whole division) and a book. The book has pics in the beginning that all the books have. They show what the recruits go through while they are here. The end though is of their division and there are pics of grad in it. Not a lot but a couple.

Thanks.
This really helps. If I or someone else doesn't find anywhere I can buy a tape, when we find out what date he will be leaveing for BC, I will ask around and see if anyone else is going to be there that can tape it for me.
