It hasn't started here yet. They are showing the red carpet right now.
A friend of my mom's got to go a couple years ago and said it was such a blast because they mixed with the fans a lot. She had VIP tickets to everything since she won the trip through a contest.

It was pretty good! I'd love to go some year!

I thought Carrie Underwood did an awesome job at the end, I love her.

But I think Billy Ray Cyrus needs to go away...he annoys me (and more than just a little bit! :lol )

OMG I am just LOVING the song "Life in a Northern Town" what a great combination of singers for that song!!!!!! And Jake Owens is so easy on the eyes;).

It's always a bummer to really like an artist, and then see them live and realize how much the producer had to digitize on the album.

I disagree! I think Taylor had more life than anyone else! That performance had more energy than the rest of the show altogether, IMO. I wasn't a fan of hers before, but I sure am now! (L)

I agree with the Billy Ray comment, and I'm not keen on Miley, either. :shrug Her voice always sounds so forced, like she only knows FORTE and that. is. it. :lol

All in all pretty good! My older sister has done sound for the CMA's before but didn't this year, I have definitely heard stories about the fun that goes on!

Miley was horrible. Not only her singing but in general. She looked so bored and you could tell she didn't want to be there. She has no ties to country music except her dad who is way passed his 15 minutes. People only know him because of her.

IMO they could have found better people to host the CMT awards than the Cyrus'.

I agree that Carrie Underwood was awesome. I also agree Taylor Swift sounded less appealing live. And, Miley's voice dissappointed me to some degree.

I never heard that Alan Jackson song before. Must have been new.

I stuck around for the 'Duet' talent show afterward, and really didn't care for it whatsoever.

I was a fan previously and still am... but as far as the live performance goes, it wasn't her energy level I was criticizing ;)

I agree with some of you taylor did really good on the performing and energy part but her voice did not sound that great. I also think the cyrus' did do a pretty blah job but I guess CMT figured they would get a high audience if they got miley :shrug.

Taylor writes cute songs, but can't sing live worth a hoot. I liked Carrie Underwood though...
