Hi!

DB and I put in a request to be transferred to Ft. Carson. It looks like we might be moving there within the year.

I've never been to Colorado and have nooooo idea what to expect. Any words of wisdom you can share with me? What it is like there? Do you like the base and area? What are good places to live?

well lets see, we can see the weather change quickly in 1 day..lol it can be sunny and 80degrees 1 minute and then turn around go into a store and come out and be cold and raining when we come out or even snowing!

My dh and I love it here but then again hes from here, he works up on Peterson and does his reserve on Carson. we live down in Pueblo which is about 30 minutes away from Colorado Springs and a heck of alot cheaper to live in to. He doesn't mind the comute at all, when you look at what we can buy a house for down here and what you can buy a house for up there you can see why we choose to live down here. Even the rents are alot cheaper down here for what you get. Both bases are nice, we use both of the the same. Peterson has a new BX and Commy so I've been using that one more lately since its new and bigger but i'm sure that will get old and i'll be going back to Carson again soon..lol if you have any questions please feel free to ask away!

Awesome info. Thanks! I will probably email you at some point as are plans firm up. I'm glad to have the tip about Pueble. I want to start looking online at real estate but wasn't sure what areas to look in. That helps.
