View Full Version : To the beautiful Elizabeth
Rileysmom 04-15-2008, 05:02 PM Here are some of the styles that NR had last time I went:
Flynt, I have a couple pairs of these, nice and comfy and stretchy.. I can wear them on fat days and good days too. The stitching colors vary, as well as the wash.

A-Pockets are there pretty frequently too.... these don't have much stretch and are pretty stiff... usually boot cut.

"Regular" style... not even sure of the name of these, just the normal Seven style I guess... they are stretchy too, I think 2% spandex (same build as most Flynts), very comfortable!!!

You know I love those jeans. :yes I haven't bought any recently since I've been losing weight, I have no idea what size I am now in those jeans.
Rileysmom 04-15-2008, 05:12 PM I know, it's such an addiction! Thankfully I have bought pairs both bigger and smaller than my current size when they are a steal, so I can always wear a pair! :teehee :hehe
MontanaSweetie 04-15-2008, 05:13 PM I know, it's such an addiction! Thankfully I have bought pairs both bigger and smaller than my current size when they are a steal, so I can always wear a pair! :teehee :hehe
How can I figure out what size I would wear now? Do I need to just measure my waist?
Rileysmom 04-15-2008, 05:15 PM You know, I honestly don't know! I have always just tried them on. I know that sevenforallmankind.com has a sizing chart on it somewhere, I remember reading it before. But like the pair you sent me, those are stretchy, so I usually buy a size down. Another pair I have don't stretch at all, so I need to buy the correct size... I guess it depends on the pair!
Elizabeth 04-15-2008, 05:21 PM Well I'm looking for a pair of just normal bootcut to be my go to pair, to wear with my flip flops and sandals, a normal shade of blue, nothing too light or dark (Apparently really really light is trendy these days!) I am usually a fan of stretch, fits all of my bits pretty well.
Do the knees go in on them, I hate when jeans are so wide in the knee.
Am I asking crazy questions?!
Elizabeth 04-15-2008, 05:22 PM I figure I'm a 26 cause it's a 2 and I have bought a pair of denim in a different brand in 26 before.
MontanaSweetie 04-15-2008, 05:25 PM I don't think you can go wrong with Seven For All Mankind Jeans...they are just awesome. I can't wait to get a new pair. I never had issues with them being wide in the knees.
I'm a size 5/6, so I will have to check their site out to see if they have a conversion chart.
MontanaSweetie 04-15-2008, 05:30 PM What about these?

Rileysmom 04-15-2008, 05:31 PM Most of them go in at the knee (as they fit on me)... Dojo is one pair that DOESN'T. They are sort of wide leg all the way down. Most pairs are boot cut, and flare out a tiny bit after the knee, very fitting in the thighs and butt, and waist. I have a big butt, so they (and WR) are really the only pair that fit in the waist AND butt AND thighs...
A-pockets: Straight down to the knee, and then a bit of width after that:

Seven is making a lot of their styles wide leg too, but I'm not hopping on that trend.. I like shelling out for pairs of jeans that will be timeless!
These are the new Dojo's (super cute, but like you, I like them more fitted) and you can see that they don't really taper at the knee too much, they are sort of straight/wider all the way down.

These are what I was going to suggest too. The wash and fit sounds like it's what you are looking for and they are stretch too. There are a couple different versions of that style. That was my first pair and I was hooked after that!

Do you know what I mean about the knees?! Or am I crazy? :lol
I have a pair from Express and they are ok straight out of the dryer but after a couple hours they are too wide and loose.

I might order these and get them hemmed by a friend's Italian mom here if I like the fit. I don't think I will ever find a pair short enough for me. I think Nordstrom will ship here. Is that a normal price for them?
phantomfg 04-15-2008, 05:34 PM Wow, great timing to stumble on your opinions of jeans brands. I need to replace my Levi's and I wanted to know what you stylish ladies wore. ;)
Many thanks.
MontanaSweetie 04-15-2008, 05:34 PM Trey, I can't find a conversion chart on their site for sizing. :confuzzle And ofcourse being that we live in Montana, there is no place around here that sells 7 Jeans.
Rileysmom 04-15-2008, 05:34 PM Yep that's about right. But let me check the Rack first before you buy them! The Seven Jeans there are $99 or less, and they have A-Pocket quite a bit! I need to go tomorrow to return a couple pairs!
Elizabeth 04-15-2008, 05:35 PM I think the first pic you posted are the ones I was eyeballing Trey!
I am small but I do have a bubble butt and jeans from AE or Hollister or whatever never have a high enough rise in the back to contain my goods!
Rileysmom 04-15-2008, 05:36 PM I found it Kristen!
Do you have a size chart?
Seven Sizes 00 0 2 4 6 8 10 12 14
Natural Waist 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32
X-Small: 0-2
Small: 4-6
Medium: 8-10
Large: 12

Thanks for checking em out for me, it's so nice to have shopping eyeballs I can trust! One MAJOR downside to living overseas.

Oh I totally know what you mean...I don't like that bulkiness that happens at the knees with some jeans. I have a very hard time finding the right jeans. I know you live overseas, but Old Navy's "The Diva" Jeans are quite awesome. I was shocked that I liked them because I am so uber picky about my jeans.

You need something fabulous to flaunt that new "look" of yours! :yes :wink

If you have a bubble butt, you will freaking (L) them!!! Especially the ones with stretch! I always check the material and try to get the ones with stretch, they just hug your buns! :giggle

Yup, love when my jeans actually cover my ass. It's so hard to find small sizes that accommodate curves! I'm petite, not a flat board! I like my jeans really fitted from the knee up, I hate when they are loose or baggy, feels sloppy to me.
Rileysmom 04-15-2008, 05:41 PM How tall are you?
Elizabeth 04-15-2008, 05:42 PM 5 foot and no inches! But I've got a butt and a full 32C rack... not so easy to shop for! :lol
And I pretty much have to get everything hemmed.

That's the issue I'm having now. My current jeans are a 5/6 and are a bit to loose, but a size 4 is a bit to snug at the moment. It is frustrating!
I'm petite as well, only 5'2". Finding really good jeans is a PITA.
Rileysmom 04-15-2008, 05:49 PM Okay, what size inseam my dear? I think they might make "short" versions of the pair you are looking at... give me a second after you get me your inseam.

I bet size 4 in the stretch material 7's would fit you wonderfully! They stretch out after about an hour or two of wear, and then you can shrink them back up by washing them too! :five

I will have to look into getting another pair. :D A size 4 is a size 27 right? I know my waist is not a 26, so I think those would be to small.
Rileysmom 04-15-2008, 05:56 PM Yep! That's the size my sister wears and she is a size 4, except she is 5"10 and has to get the hems let out! :roflmao

:lol The "short" inseam on Old Navy jeans are a bit to long for me, LOL. I hate having to get my jeans hemmed. Luckily I wear 3" + heels the majority of the time, so I can get away with not hemming them. I believe my ideal inseam is 29". Being short sucks!
Will your sister share some of her height with me? I only need an extra inch or two. :giggle
Elizabeth 04-15-2008, 06:06 PM I'm a 30 or 31? It depends on how the jeans fit, does that make sense?
Rileysmom 04-15-2008, 06:10 PM :woot
Inseam is 31, the style/color you were looking for, and they ship, FOR FREE, internationally! With free returns too! Do you have an Italy address you can use? I didn't see anything about APO addresses, but it did say that international shipping with orders over $100 are free! :five

Elizabeth 04-15-2008, 06:13 PM No we only have an FPO, I've asked the command before if there was an IT address we could use and they said Nope! I might just get something shipped through ShipitAPO. They forward things to us for a fee.
I think I'm going to email this place and see if they will do FPO! I don't see anything about it either.
Rileysmom 04-15-2008, 06:29 PM Well if you find a place, you can have them ship it to me and I'll ship it to you! I don't mind at all, and you know I won't steal them because I can't stuff my ass and thighs in a 26!!! :roflmao :teehee
