so he just told me today that he is nervous to come home because it's been so long since he has been in the real world with other people who aren't military, and he is nervous to be with me again and be home because things will be different and changed...

i don't know how to make it all better, but i guess i'll just do my best? :sigh

itll be ok. its just a HUGE transition to go from such a high stress environment to one where you pretty much dont have to worry about anything. DH still had flashbacks of his encounter with and IED for like a year after he got back.

from what i know of where DF is, and what he has told me, it's been a very low-stress boring environment...which i love, and i am grateful for, but i dunno...:dunno

i wouldn' t worry too much. everyone is nervous before a huge change. Just reassure him that not much has changed. I am sure it will be fine

i'm sure it will be fine too...it's sweet that he was able to tell me that he's nervous...such a good man, that DF of mine :D

All I can say is educate yourself on the re adjusting phase. Its totally normal for them to feel that way. Its not typical for them to express it to anyone so consider yourself lucky that he trust you enough to let you know his deepest thoughts.

thanks hun...i do need to read over that readjustment stuff...i wish i had been in cali for the spouse reunion meeting...oh well...too bad i'm not a spouse yet :P
