Okay, so I know that sometimes verbals aren't very reilable, but...
DH should have hard-copies in hand by next week to a new ship: Wayne E. Meyer. It's a DDG and it's headed to San Diego! Yay!
We are in Maine right now and I'm SO ready for some warmer weather. I was born in Coronado and haven't been back since I was 7. (Navy retiree brat). Annnnnnd...This gets us the heck off the East Coast! Woot! Woot! With four dependents (myself and our three kids) that's not easy for a first-termer.
I guess the precom detailer for the ship is pretty impressed with DH's record. He just received SOQ and is ranking up rather quickly for his rate. I'm SO PROUD of him! Yay!
