I can count on one hand the weeks leading up to his homecoming!! I am sooooo flippin excited! I got this email from him saying this....

Tommorow will be exactly X weeks to the day that I return…If you think back to what is was like

That whole last week knowing that I had to leave for possibly up to seven months, to the last day

In which I had to leave…if you remember, sitting in the car outside the gates, saying that this was the last

Time we would have to take that ride, and then dropping me off at the pier and finally when I called you

For the last time from the cell phone, those were some pretty tough times huh?



And it seemed like forever that we would get to this point, and here we are just a few weeks out…all things

Considered I say we came out like Champions, I realize there is still X weeks, but it’s still feels

Pretty good to be where we are right now don’t you think???



Anyway, I just want to say I’m proud of how we did, I love and miss you and can’t wait to be home…

Anyway you slice it deployments are never easy and I think we did a pretty good job, so if I ever feel like

The day is getting long, I just think back to the times right before I left or when I was leaving and I think to

Myself….I’m glad those days are long behind us…even though sometimes it feels like it was just yesterday…
