I was wondering if any of u got or are getting a gift for ur SO as a graduation present? i was thinking about maybe making him a navy build-a-bear. but i didnt know if he would like that cause he is a guy. lol.

That's a good idea! But then again I think ya well he's a guy but I am sure he would enjoy it. I am not sure what I am going to get mine, but I think I should get him something!! I hope all the ladies put up good ideas for ya!! :D

I plan on taking homemade cookies, and brownies and stuff like that. As for a graduation present, I have an idea for my DB. He works on cars and he has bad Jacks, so I'm going to get him a big Jack that they use in Nascar that way he can't complain about his crappy Jacks. But that will come after AIT. I hope this helps.

I made him a scrap book with pictures of everything that happened at home while he was away. He loved it when we gave it to him (our daughter colored the backgrounds for most of the pages) but now it's just sitting in our closet along with all his basic training pictures, and all the letters I wrote to him.

keep in mind that they have to pass another PT test the day they arrive at AIT! And the time is shorter on the run than it is at basic. Also, I know with my husband and my brother their first time eating junk food straight out of basic made them sick to their stomach...

My DB is leaving for bootcamp in a few days and I think while he's gone I'm going to make him a scrapbook or something like that. We just had a going away party and someone got him a Navy scrapbook so I think I'll fill it with pictures of him leaving and at graduation and stuff like that.

I got my DH a pocket watch with the USMC seal on the front and the words "Forever my Phoenix" carved in the back. He always wanted one so now he has one.

I like the junk food and homemade food stuff ideas.........I think I will make dh fav cookies and bring those (chewy chocolate ginger bread cookies.... :yum )

I got DB some cuff links with the Marine globe & anchor on them and an MP3 player for him to use when he works out and I preloaded it with a playlist of songs that remind me of him, he really loved both of them... also if he doesn't have any nice watches that's a good idea too...
