I am going to be compiling some stickies...

I am thinking so far:

One for Tricare/EFMP/ECHO as well as navigating help for each state (we can list the contact for the head start/early start for each state as people give them to me)

One for books/websites/support groups/etc.

One for therapies/techniques/diets that explains each type (OT, ST, GF/CF, fish oil, ABA, Floortime, Neurofeedback, etc.,) and where they can find more information about it.

I was also thinking about one sticky that has everyones names, what diagnosis their child has, symptoms, struggles, etc, but where people don't respond so that it's just basically a list of special needs mamas and the contact info they are willing to share so that people can get to know one another (obviously optional and you can put as little or as much info as you want on there).

Any other suggestions/ideas? I don't want to clutter the top with too much information.

Looks good. What about health care providers that deal with special needs for each state too?

That's a good idea too! As well as suggestions for certain therapists in the area.. we are outsourced to civilian care here and it's overwhelming finding a provider! I have some good suggestions for down here! :mrgreen

Hmmm, what do you think? Do you think I should just make the stickies, and then people can add to them as they go? Or do you think I should lock the sticky and just keep it updated and people can add to this post? Whatever is easiest for everyone is fine with me!

Sounds like a great idea
I have collected a lot of research into ADHD in all aspects ,
if you need any of it.

I think I'll just make each sticky, and as people have more info, they can add it to that sticky, and I will continue to update the first post with all of the information.

I am so excited for our new mommy hangout! :teehee

info about state funded early intervention programs?
Also a sticky with acronyms and their meanings for example
OT: Occupational therapy/therapist
ST: Speech Therapy/Therapist
PDD-NOS: pervasive developmental disorder not otherwise specified
ASD: Autism Spectrum Disorder/s
IEP: Individualized Education Plan
CF: Casien Free
GF: Gluten Free
EFMP: Exceptional Family Member Program
EFM: Exceptional Family Member
LD: Learning Disabilities

Those are just some that I can think of but this way if people are confused about what is being discussed they can look rather then it being explained over and over.
