first it was the first week of april, then it was mid april, then late april, now it is may. :vent All i want is my husband back home and everytime it gets within a few days i get "oh sorry babe. they pushed it back."

he's not even deployed he's in training. WTF is the hold up!? :unlove

It's the military. What do you expect? :lol You can't count on anything with the military. It's a life of unknowns and tentative everythings. Nothing is concrete.

I'm sorry. I know it's annoying. :( I hope they don't change it anymore!

so i'm new at this. we haven't been married even a year. i know things are unexpected and nothing is certain. but how do you ever get used to that? do you quit caring or just stand guarded about getting too excited too quickly?

there again when it has been months since you've seen him it is hard to not get excited when you think they'll be home within the week! :depressed

yep.... that is the military way of life! DB has had his return date from Iraq changed several times in the last few weeks..... We are VERY close now so hopefully they will not change it again... that is just how it is.

You don't get your hopes up on a date. You hear it, log it in your mind and don't dwell on it.... Live by the "I will believe it when I see it" philosophy... otherwise, you will go nuts!

Just don't count on anything. Always assume they'll change it. :lol 'Cause usually....they will.

Yep I'm sorry though because I know how bad it feels! We've been pushed back several times this deployment and now that were only weeks away I still keep brushing it off because I've learned to well that just because we have a time frame now doesn't it mean it will be the same one next week! Hope things get better for you and know that we're all here for you :hugs

sorry girl.

Anytime DH has to go out, I always assume he will be home a month after he is supposed to be home and that helps.

I think the limit for number of times they can change a date is approximately Eleventy Billion and Threeve.

Ok ok, just trying to make you giggle a little.

I think you'll have to take it up with either Puff the Magic Dragon or maybe Gandalf the Grey.
