My husband and I will be moving to SD and should be there around May 11. I have heard good things about Murphy Canyon and had a few questions.

Does anyone have any idea what the current wait list length is? Can we put our names on the waiting list if DH hasn't officially checked in?

Do they have back yards that are fenced in?

Is there a place online I can view pictures of the interior and exterior?

Are these houses or townhouses?

I really appreciate any help. I have never been to Cali before and this whole moving process is overwhelming when you aren't actually there!

Ours is a townhouse its beautiful.

We waited for three weeks. I am not sure what the wait is though now. We moved in about 6 weeks ago.

We live in pet housing so yes there is a fenced in yard.

Thank you for the link! Where did you stay while you waiting for a house to become available? I know about the Miramar Inn but it doesn't allow pets. Is the washer/dryer hookup in the kitchen?

all housing here is fenced in and there's no such thing as pet housing...the houses are REALLY nice...this is where we live in Santo Terrace http://www.lincolnmilitary.com/sandiego/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=41&Itemid=42

I LOVE IT...we were offered one over in Orleck but there's not washer dryer so I said NO since we didn't have one.

I took the pet housing statement to mean its a housing area that allows pets, because not all do. :dunno

We have a huge laundry room. It has tons of shelves and a sink. See we kind of set up the way we got in so fast. My dh signed out of his command January 3rd and we faxed all the paperwork in and got on the list. He went to school for 6 weeks in San Diego so he got on the list right away. They offered us the house at the beginning of Feb then we moved in March 3rd. So we went from our house in Washington straight down and moved in. We didnt have to stay in a hotel or anything, well except on the way down.

There is such a thing as pet housing because we couldnt move into our original place we wanted because they allowed no pets.

I like the Santo Terrace. The kitchen looks nice and new and the backyard looks pretty big. Is that still considered Murphy Canyon? Do these places have air conditioning? I'm sorry I have so many questions but you all are so helpful!
