Last week the OT canceled on us. She is going to do his sensory eval. Tomorrow he was supposed to see her in our home. I pick him up this afternoon and he feels warm. So I take the temp 102.5. So I call the OT to let her know and see if she wants to see him when he may be sick. Of course she doesn't I don't blame her she has to see him when he is normal for Jacob any way.
His croupy junky cough is back, and his allergies have been making his nose run but now he is congested so I am guessing cold on top of allergies. I just feel so bad for him he goes from cold to cold to cold. He gets on average at least one cold a month and will also spike mysterious fevers that go away just as quickly as they come when he has no cold.

Is there a long waiting list? Poor kiddo! :sadeyes I can feel your pain! Riley gets sick maybe once a year, and since he started preschool/daycare (only a month ago) he has been sick twice! :mumble It's frustrating!!!
I hope you can get that eval soon!

No thank G-D for that! There doesn't seem to be a massive wait list for this OT. Since birth Jacob has been sick like this the first year it was mostly ear infections so I guess the bad colds and the mystery fevers are better then that.

oh yuck and once they get sick it tends to pass around. Sean's preschool class has only 7 kids in it and once one gets sick they all share it, pass it around to the parents and it recycles.......it never ends!

That sucks!!! I know if I have to cancel E's home session, the ST calls during the week to fit him in. Can the OT not call when there's been a cancellation to see Jacob?!?

She can fit him in I just want to get this step over with KWIM? all of the women I am working with for him have been great ST, OT, & caseworker. I will call on Monday and hopefully he can get a spot just as quick as he did this time.

Thanks he has the mild croup, darian started coughing last night too LOL when it rains it pours :) Darian was upset because he didn't have a fever and Jacob does. *sigh* I was like whats the big idea you are still sick fever or not.
So I called the DR because I am having a hard time getting the fever to completely break lowest it has gone has been 99.9. I wasn't worried about him HAVING a temp I know DRs don't worry until a fever is 103. whatever. Last night at around 2 AM it was 103.5 under the arm so add a degree is 104.5. Anyway the nurse said they recommend not even treating a fever unless it is 102 OR the kiddo is uncomfortable. So I am keeping an eye on it and if the croup gets worse tonight I will bring him to the children's ER at TMC. He has had the croup before though so its no new thing unfortunately.
I am going to talk with his pedi at his two year check up about allergies because he always has a runny nose even when he is not sick. I need to make a list of everything I am concerned about and everything going on with him.

Tristan was always so sick too. I told you, mystery fevers, ear infections, every other week. He is finally doing a whole lot better. It has gotten progressively better since he turned 3. He got the whole allergy testing thing done. That was a NIGHTMARE!!! However, it is over, and he is allergic to all kinds of things. He takes Zyrtec and Singulair. It is amazing how much better he is doing, actually. The allergist told me if I keep his symptoms at bay long enough he may actually outgrow the allergies. I had no idea that was possible.
I hope he gets better and you can get it all taken care of soon!

Jamie did you ever think about having his immune system checked to make sure it functions correctly?
I have a theory that his immune system is constantly under attack due to his allergies and so when a virus or other bacteria invade he is unable to fight it off.
