My boyfriend has been re-activated and leaves in May for training at Lejune. He will deploy in October. Well he has already started distancing himself from me. He has been cold and mean, wont cuddle, hardly ever wants sex and i finally asked him what the heck is going on and he basically said that he is trying to get back into that mindset so he is ok when he goes to Iraq.
He doesnt leave until OCTOBER! I'm worried. I understand why he feels he needs to do that but he has about 5 months until he deploys.

Last night i told him i feel like when he goes over there, i wont hear from him and he got silent. HE said i was pretty much right that he feels like it will be easier for him if he doesnt talk to me. Needless to say, i am crushed.
I understand where he is coming from but at the same time i feel like he doesnt trust me to help him through this (he has MAJOR trust issues)

Does anyone have any advice or words of wisdom? I know October is a long way off but i'd like to deal with this BEFORE he goes over.

Wow, the best advice I have for you is.......give him a little alone time but make sure he knows you are still by his side. Some men distance themselves to prevent their ladies from feeling hurt. Little do they know, that causes us to hurt. :hugehug :goodluck sweetie.
