:noSo...my dh comes home in a few days and they are telling him he will redeploy in AUGUST! wtfff. he'll only be home for 3-4 months, and then he's gone..again....:no:no:no:no


I am really upset, but tell me how long it took for your man to redeploy??

he came home late november and went back out early july with several work-ups in between. it sucked. sorry yours is so close together!

Same for me, mine will come home for a few months and go again, it really sucks. Sometimes I feel like all I do is say goodbye.

My DB told me he might have to go back 3 months after he gets back.....and most likely again before 2010. I don't know if thats the one time...but who knows! Its crazy! I hate it! But thats the military for you!

Mine came back Dec 06 and redeployed just now but originally was supposed to in November, we were lucky (though this is my first deployment with him)

My DF was deployed 18 months then was home for 11 months and deployed again for a year. We haven't heard anything about another deployment as of yet, but he has only been home for 2 weeks :dunno

My Dh was home 14 months between deployment 1 and 2.

he was home(actually he was only home for 2 months total, he went to school in GA) for only 6 months and deployed again. :pukey

My db's last deployment was about two years ago.And that deployment was supposed to be only a year.Ended up getting extended.And his deployment was like 20 months. :wowAnd will be deploying again in the fall sometime.And only supposed to be a year this time.I personally never believe anything the National Guard says.

His first was in 2003- 16 months & came back late 2004.

His second was late 2005- for 12 months and came back late 2006.

His third was Sept 2007, and he got back this February.

It was short because he PCSed into a division that was already out there- so he got the end of it.

It's usually 12 months out there, 12 months in... but it does range abit.

My DB got about 12 months between his first deployment and his second

My DB got a year between deployments..........when he was reposted to Germany his entire unit had been deployed but he insisted on his dwell time so we got an extra 3 months together!!

Wow. Df deployed for 2 mos in Aug 07 and came back Oct 07. Then left in Feb and comes home around Aug. Then he'll be gone again Novem. 09 for another 6 mos. Most of them are just cruises. He's not gone into any direct combat as of yet. :pray he doesn't have too!!

Ugh... I'm so sorry! It sucks, DH deploys every 15 months. He also has to go on a 2 month tour in the US before each deployment, then will be home for 2 months, then gone on deployment for 5-6 months.

This is hubby first deployment, but we are hoping that he'll get at least a year before he has to go again. :yes

DB just got home last week after 14 months (Yeah!) and his unit will deploy again June 09.

my db was home 11 months inbetween his 1st and 2nd deployment but he's in the army

he was home 8 months from a 12 monther, before he re-deployed on a 14 monther.

before the 12 monther, he had been home for 6 months from a 6 monther, and before that he hadn't been since the initial invasion... we somehow got lucky between deployment #1 and #2... all the rest, they have really just given it to us.

DB deploys for 4-6 months, is "home" for 4-6 months, and then goes again. It's a never ending cycle. As always, "home" time is filled with trainings and field work. :sigh And yet he is sooo worth it. :D

Is there a website where you can see which units are re-deploying again? Do they have set dates that they are going to deploy again if they are still over in Iraq right now? I'm new at this whole army thing, does anyone know?

his first one was from jaunary to sept of 2007
and he just left for his second one which will be April through November

he had to be in the states for as long as his deployment was (7 months) and once the 7 month hit they shipped him right back out

I am going to take an educated guess here and say no, they don't post deployments on the internet for each specific unit. I can't say for 100% sure, but I would imagine that would be a huge security issue if they were to do that. You probably will have to just depend on what your db/dh/df tells you.
