So I have kept to myself up until today because I wasn't sure what the answer would be. DH and I just finished the evaluation today..the meeting today with all the specialists (behavorial, sensory and food, autism, ECFE teacher, etc). They went through the results of each home visit, testing and forms we've filled out and they found some delays.

He has developmental delays in:

Social and/or emotional development
and
Adaptive Development

For right now since the school year is jsut about over they are having a therapist come out to the house for the last couple weeks of school to help us set goals for Eian throughout the summer, and then they are putting together a plan for him this coming school year. It'll intail him to be in Preschool 2-3 times a week to help him fill in the 'pieces' he is missing in the areas he needs.
I'm very glad to finally have answers to this. I feel know that I can understand my son better because I have a direction in where to go.

This is all new to me so I'm sure I'll post questions.... :)

I understand how you feel.. as crazy as it sounds.. a diagnosis, even a provisional one is almost a relief because instead of wondering, you can get a good cry out, and get to work! There is so much progress to be made at his age, so remain optimistic! We are all here for you, so ask away! We are lucky to have experienced mama's, teachers, aides, family members, etc on this site, there is an abundance of help, guidance and experience! And a social delay is just that, a delay and not a disability, so run with it! (L)

Thanks ladies!! :hug

There are 2 weeks of school left and his teacher asked me today how I felt about letting him have a small trail run of what the class would be like this coming school year starting tomorrow. It took me off guard but after I thought about it I told her that we could go ahead and do that..because of his adaptive issues I think it'll help him with the transition for this upcoming school year instead of being thrown right into it, so for the next two weeks he'll be going Monday and tuesdays for 2 hours. We'll see how it goes :)
