I started :tears when I started the last load of :laundry. His clothes were in there, it's kind of like my only "proof" he was here.....KWIM?

Awwww I am sorry that must be so hard to say good bye..........but you have all the wonderful memories of while he was home :)...........does he have to be gone much longer? I noticed he is Navy I didn't think they went for this long:dunno

that's exactly how I felt :( but at the same time I was happy it was over because the next time I see him it will be homecoming!!!!!!!!!!! :yay

:hugs I know what you mean -- I still have a sweater that I refuse to wash because it smells like him and it proves he was there.....

But hey--it's all downhill from here---okay...maybe it's flat...or just a slight uphill? Either way--you're counting down 'till he returns for a longer time than 2 weeks!

He volunteered for this IA. He left home last April '07. Counting this 15 day R&R he has only been home a total of about 30 days. His IA ends "hopefully" by fall. This is our 11th deployment but to Hell! with it getting any easier! :depressed

Oh wow..........that must be so hard..........and 11 deployments to boot. You deserve massive hugzzzzzzzzzzz and pats on the back you are one strong cookie!!!!!!!!!!! I am so sorry you are feeling depressed, I know I would be also :(. But start your countdown :) you both are an amazing couple to have endured all these sepperations. I am in awe of women like you!!!

holy jesus, 11th deployment? :hail I know how hard that first day is but you are incredibly strong. You are in the home stretch!

I would have cried too on seeing those clothes in the dryer. It was a trigger to your emotions and you had a normal response.

So, what can you think of doing now to make yourself feel better? Any chance you can get out and shop a little? Or, go to a salon/spa this weekend? Is there something you could do to take extra special care of yourself? You sooooooooo deserve it right about now.

:hugs Yay for being on the backside of the deployment!! :) I hope you had a wonderful R&R. I know what you mean about doing that last load of laundry. He left his towel at my house (I live in cali and he lives in Germany/Texas) and I never washed it... I have it folded in my cupboard as my reminder of R&R.
