DB is leaving in September for 15 months for a hardship tour, will come back a month and then deploy again where he will be stoplossed.

It's just the units he's switching into.

The Army has to do that I guess because they just don't have the man power to fight the war. There's not enough guys enlisting. When was the last time the Army met it's quota?

Yeah....the stoploss sucks....Hubby was tinkering with the idea of getting out but when he realized he was going to be stoplossed he just re-uped. Makes more sense for him to get something out of it if they were going to make him stay anyway. Oh well....and I know from I heard the announcement about the new tour lengths that his would be on for the full 15 months. :blech
