so i crocheted (spelling?) DB a blanket to take with him to iraq (i know.. i'm such an old lady trapped in a 20 yr olds body haha).. but now i'm wondering if he's even going to be allowed to take it?? i mean.. its kinda huge and weighs a lot.. are they limited on what they can bring?
(i don't wanna ask him because it's supposed to be a surprise) :)

usually when they leave they can only take their seabag ( i can't remember what the army calls them, but basically the green bag they all have) unless he sends it in the pre pack out. You can always send it to him though. :D that is what I did for my dh when he was on the ship.
oh and nice to meet another crocheter!!!!! :wavey

you could always mail it to him? DH didn't have any room for that kind of stuff.

Andrew took his seabag, a suitcase and a duffel bag when he got on the boat to leave for deployment....he took his blanket and his favorite pillow, laptop(I forgot the laptop bag), PS2 and controllers........
Hm.
