Last year, I went with my parents to visit my Great Grandfather's grave on Memorial Day. He was a WW1 veteran. I remember going over to his grave and there was no American Flag on his grave.

I think it's sad that whoever goes around the cemetry forgot about my Great Grandfather like that, my dad said there used to always be a flag put up near his grave.

Do you think his name got taken off the list some how? Does anyone if I can call and check, and how I would go about getting the local VFW to make sure they honor his grave this year?

TIA

:shrug it could just be that no one knew he was a vet? It does depend on who places the flags on the graves. I would contact the cemetery to see who does that. Or why not just place one there yourself?
