Talk to, dress up or otherwise treat your furbaby as a person that just happens to have four legs and talk funny?
Valkyrie 04-26-2008, 12:43 AM I talk to my guys, they talk back to me or order me around.
Becca 04-26-2008, 12:44 AM I talk to my dog all the time - but I certainly don't ever dress him up :rofl
sailorprincess07 04-26-2008, 12:49 AM :yes My cat is my daughter and I love her, she has an attitude just like me
PeppermintRei 04-26-2008, 12:59 AM I do both. They even have people names. :blush

THe size difference between the two of them. They're both full grown -- one monster, one midget, who could ask for more?
PeppermintRei 04-26-2008, 01:05 AM :yes My cat is my daughter and I love her, she has an attitude just like me
I often wonder what my neighbors think when I walk in the door and yell "Hi kids! I'm home!" because they're usually sleping in the bedroom and they sleepily wander to the living room to see me. And I can't forget that in the mornings I say "Bye kids, be good, I'll see you later" while they walk over to the door with me and then wait to watch me walk out. I love my babies--they're terribly spoiled though.
JustBreathe 04-26-2008, 01:12 AM :yes and proud of it!
Treysgirl 04-26-2008, 01:47 AM Neither, but my mom and my MIL both have conversations with their dogs (mom's is a mini dachsund and MIL's is a terrier mix)
~*~Katie~*~ 04-26-2008, 02:37 AM haha I talk to my fur babies all the time. Even though neither have fur LOL. (1 Birdy and 1 fishy lol)
MissOHara 04-26-2008, 03:09 AM I do!
He likes it, he thinks he looks pretty and he LOVES looking pretty. He told me.

He loves wearing this red bandanna, and I lost it when we moved. He got so mad at me! He yelled at me for like 3 hours then refused to look at me for 2 days. I gotta find him another bandanna!
MedicsWifey 04-26-2008, 03:17 AM When I had a dog, I had about 20 outfits for him in the 6 months I had him, but I had to re-home him so it's now we have our 15-year-old cat. I have lots of good talks with her. LOL No outfits, though. She'd not do well with those (to put it mildly).
Oh, my cat and I absolutely have conversations. I don't dress her up anymore. She doesn't like it. I will admit, I definitely dressed her up when I was like 10 though. (Yeah, I've been with my kitty for a long time. I can't wait until she's living with me again!)
EmeraldEyes 04-26-2008, 08:58 AM I talk to my furbabies, even though Izzy, our cat, is deaf!!
mrs_ski 04-26-2008, 09:06 AM I do both, apple is my baby. I love him!

jen1982 04-26-2008, 09:08 AM I don't do the dress up thing, but I definitely talk to my pups. :)
AshleyJ 04-26-2008, 09:21 AM I talk to my dog. I wanted to try to dress her but when I did one time she ended up eating her sweater and leaving me the collar. :(
BLBnJVB3 04-26-2008, 09:52 AM I talk to them. It is funny cause sometimes I feel like I know what they are saying back to me so I respond to that.
When I was a kid I used to dress up my cats and dogs. I would put clothes and jewelry on them. Breanna used to dress up one of our mini dachsunds. She would let Breanna do anything to her. Breanna would also act like she was having tea parties, teaching school, and put her in the grocery cart and act like she was taking her around the grocery store (our house). :giggle
Woodchuck 04-26-2008, 09:53 AM Lots of baby talk...
toothfairy03 04-26-2008, 10:23 AM I talk to my dog and dress him up but only for Halloween. My dad tells me all the time he is my kid because of how spoiled he is.

I'm glad I'm not the only one crazy enough to dress up her kitty! I always use their picture for our Christmas news letter.
I talk to my dog. I wanted to try to dress her but when I did one time she ended up eating her sweater and leaving me the collar. :(
LOL -- sounds like that won't work! I'm sure it's funny in retrospect...but it wasn't at the time.

I sign all e-mails, R, C and the Kitty-Kids....to the parents, and to the grandparents I say R, C and the Great-grand kitties....I figure if I do this long enough, they will accept our insanity and stop asking for grand-babies! I even call my mom "grandma" to the cats -- although my dad specifically said I AM NOT allowed to call him grandpa to the cats....:(
Shannon Marie 04-26-2008, 12:36 PM haha i talk to him all the time. and then i make a funny voice and talk back to myself like he as saying it. i'm nuts i know. :screwy
MissOHara 04-26-2008, 03:50 PM What a cutie! Have you tried looking online or at Petco?
Thankyou! Yeah I've looked at Petco, but they are all much bigger ones than his red one. I found it on a teddy bear, but took it off because I was giving the bear to my baby niece....I thought she might put in down her throat. ... and all the small ones I've found do not suit his taste!
I always look for teddy bears with bandanna now cos I know it's a good fit! I Might as well make one though....
