they're really a nice thing! my DB has an extra chain he wears of all the portuguese medals i gave him and i knew he could put this on it too and always have it with him!! happy shopping ladies!:lol

Its a cute idea. My dad had dog tags made for me when I was a military brat while he was deployed and I kept them for... wow, its been 20 years now since they were made and I sent them to dh and he wears them.

OMG the married soldier that I was chatting with last night had one of these that he showed me. It had a pic of his kids on one side and his wife on the other. It was beautiful and I'd love to get one for Eric. He had no idea where his wife got it from. How fortuitous! :D :yay

I love this idea although I wanted to warn people--if you're buying one, please don't get the red one! If a soldier has a RED dogtag it means he/she has a medical condition or allergy and if it delays the doc or medic when they're looking at the tag instead of treating the unconcious paitient it could cost their life. Seconds matter in those situations.
