How long after you got engaged did you start planning your wedding? Immediately? Or did you take some time to relax and just enjoy being engaged? Or had you already begun planning before the engagement?

I started looking around a few months before. He was deployed, and we were planning to do it on leave, since my family couldn't afford to go to the US, and his couldn't afford to go to Australia- we knew that eloping was the only "fair" way.

I tried planning a great little honeymoon and cute wedding for just us- but it didn't work out. We did have a blast in California & Las Vegas though.

After we got engaged we waited several months before we really started to plan anything because I was in my junior year of college and he was finishing up tech school

We are taking our time. We've been engaged for a little over 4 months and I haven't even begun doing any sort of planning. We're waiting until DF is out of the Navy to start planning. I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!

Well let's see. He proposed in DC, and it took us about 40 minutes to get home... so.... 40 minutes :lol

shopped for dresses pretty quickly, but everything else waited a few months.

I was engaged July 20th and married December 21st. So 5 months

I am not engaged yet, and do have some thoughts in my head about what "our" wedding will be like.

Definitely small--he said Justice of the Peace and I said "NO WAY"--its ok for other people, but not for me, I need a little bit more than that. Maybe a park under a tree and the Justice of the Peace can meet us there. HAHA! ;) I just want a couple friends and our parents for sure! Thats plenty for me...absolutely perfect :)

Hmm let's see I got engaged on a Thursday and married that Monday... I'm still waiting on the day that ill decide to plan the actual big wedding... (I was married 2 years ago) ill eventually did a vowel renewal

We got engaged when we were camping. It was a Thursday night. We went home Sunday and unpacked, showered and...um..yeah...then went to the jewelery store to buy rings and out to dinner. The following week we began discussing venues. We were engaged mid September and married mid December.
