Does anyone have horses? I used to be an avid rider but since I got out of school and started working, I dont really have the time. Just wanted to know if anyone else has some extra large 4 legged dogs around haha.

I wish. Don't have the money or the room to have any :( But I used to show Tennessee Walking Horses growing up and into college until I moved away for school and then got married. I still go by the stables I worked at and ride when I go home though!

yay! good to know. I have a 6 y/o registered Paint mare that is my pride and joy. I used to show open shows with her and we started her in reining but we couldnt get her lope to slow down enough for showing. She's my cow horse though, definitely has the mind for it. Cutting is one of her fave things to do. I also have a umm.... i think he's 9 now, 1/2 arab, 1/2 appy gelding that I share with my dad. he's just a standard trail horse that is like a puppy dog. Follows you around in the field like a shadow and licks your hand haha.

i'm sure he will be gorgeous! I miss riding her, but i have an afternoon class at the college, and then i work nights. And im most definitely NOT a morning person haha, so the only time i really get is weekends, and for right now, that is spend with my DF since he leaves for boot camp soon.

Yeah mine isn't even halter broken yet. He is at my sisters in Reno for a year so she can work with him. When DH comes home we are going to go see him though. Hopefully this time next year we will get him out here.

Yea I'm lucky and have my parents property to keep them at. I actually was the first to ride my mare. I did the basic stuff and showed her with that, but then it got a little more complicated for me so we sent her out for 90 days training. I think she actually misses being at that barn and being around cattle every day.

My sister has another BLM Mustang and a Burro too and then a 16 hand quarter horse thats a pasture buddy and she has no kids so she has more time. I am hoping that by the time my daughter is of 4H age he is a good horse for her.

I'm sure he will. I have a really good friend from HS that had a BLM Mustang and she trained it herself. She went onto the state fair with him and also participated in the HS Equestrian team and went onto the big shows there too. They are very good horses.

aww I want a horse. Had a black arabian mare when I was a kid, and I'm looking at buying a arabian once I'm finished with school. I can't wait!! Your horses are beautiful!!!

yay!!! sounds like my horse family lol. well, only those two pictured are mine, but my mom has 1 two y/o paint mare, 1 two m/o paint filly, 1 five y/o paint gelding, 1 tweleve y/o paint mare, and my dad has a 1/2 arab, 1/4 QH, 1/4 saddlebred 22 y/o gelding haha.
