Good LORD~! Last night was IT~! DF had the worst attitude ever. He just went off on me for NO reason! He will be leaving in early June but OMG last night he said "What did you do all day?" so I told him ( I say at home with our 2yr old currently unemployd) and he said " all you do is play around all day while Im working my ass off) yah buddy thats all I do! :grumpy

He got home and immed. was playing the new GAT game so I left him alone.. I went to the computer did my thing.. Didnt say anything until my 2yr old started to repeat the words off that game. I said can you please turn it off until he goes to sleep then you can play it. He turned it off and threw the controller down~

Not once did he say Im sorry- nothing~ This am when he left he said bye!

I dont mean to make him upset by staying at home.. I have never in my life been able to stay at home and I dont ask alot from him. I know his work is tough but DONT take it out on us!! :dunno :depressed :confuzzle :sigh

I think he is just having trouble dealing with everything right now. It's coming closer to the time he will have to leave you, and it's eating him up. I'd say that when he said that, he was just angry because he knows for the next yr or so, he will be working his ass off in the pit of hell.

I'm sorry darl :hugs It is normal for them to say shit like that before they deploy, because they are going through a ton of stuff right now, and none of it is feeling any good. Don't take it to heart, if he didn't have to leave the love of his life and his baby, he wouldn't be so upset leaving in the first place.

I would tell him to spend time with the baby and not on the video games! HES LEAVING TO GO TO WAR AND HE'S PLAYING GAMES WHILE THE BABY IS STILL UP???? NO way! Because after he's gone he's going to tell you that he'd do anything to be home with him and you of course. I hate men! And about staying home all day? I work, but I work nights so I'm home all day with my 2 year old, and I certainly know what it's like to be at home with a child all day! so tell him to stick that one where the sun don't shine!

:agree What wonderful advice, Simmy! I totally agree -- he's got a lot to deal with in getting himself mentally prepared for this upcoming deployment. While that nasty behavior doesn't make it right, it does happen. I find myself more short-tempered and snappy at my hubby before he leaves each time and it really ticks me off that I do that, but I think it's just my body/mind's way of dealing with the upcoming separation. Try to keep the lines of communication open. Maybe make a list of all the things you do one day and talk to your hubby about it when he comes home and you're not fighting with him. Let him know that you're working hard, and it's hard to be a SAHM. Hey, play him that song... Mr. Mom. It's hilarious. Have you heard of it? The lyrics are:

Lost my job, came home mad
Got a hug and kiss and that's too bad
She said I can go to work until you find another job
I thought I like the sound of that
Watch TV and take long naps
Go from a hand working dad to being Mr. Mom

Well
Pampers melt in a Maytag dryer
Crayons go up one drawer higher
Rewind Barney for the fifteenth time
Breakfast, six naps at nine
There's bubble gum in the baby's hair
Sweet potatoes in my lazy chair
Been crazy all day long and it's only Monday
Mr. Mom

Football, soccer and ballet
Squeeze in Scouts and PTA
And there's that shopping list she left
That's seven pages long
How much smoke can one stove make
The kids won't eat my charcoal cake
It's more than any maid can take
Being Mr. Mom

Well
Pampers melt in a Maytag dryer
Crayons go up one drawer higher
Rewind Barney for the sixteenth time
Breakfast, six naps at nine
There's bubble gum in the baby's hair
Sweet potatoes in my lazy chair
Been crazy all day long and it's only Monday
Mr.Mom

Before I fall in bed tonight
If the dog didn't eat the classifieds
I'm gonna look just one more time

'Cause
Pampers melt in a Maytag dryer
Crayons go up one drawer higher
Rewind Barney for the eighteenth time
Breakfast, six naps at nine
There's bubble gum in the baby's hair
Sweet potatoes in my lazy chair
Been crazy all day long
Oh been crazy all day long and it's only Monday
Mr.Mom

Balancin' checkbooks, juggling bills
Thought there was nothing to it
Baby, now I know how you feel
What I don't know is how you do it

Anyway, so back to you. There's also a web site called Military One Source and they offer some great advice on dealing with upcoming deployments. It might help to look there.
