Okay so I have a question,
When you move (kentucky to Texas approx.1500 miles) it is going to cost so much driving and lodging will the army actually pay for plane tickets instead? and will they haul/tow/ whatever our van there? The way I understand it we will get DLA which would almost cover plane tickets for the family, will they reimburse the rest?

they will only ship vehicles if you are moving overseas. so when it comes down to it, it's cheaper to drive it yourself.

we did a partial dity because we came from overseas and drove from VA to UT. Because we had soo much stuff comming from overseas and also stuff in storage, we had to pay for all petrol and lodging ourselves. If we had have flown, they woiuld have paid though. Get you SO to check every option out before making your decision.
