Hi ladies,
I would like to start something. To give people a little smile going into the weekend, I would like to start a weekly Happy Animal Story of the Week every friday :).
Here is the Happy Animal Story for this week :)

ASPCA SUCCESS STORY OF THE WEEK: FAMILY MAN
When the Doyle family first came across Leo, a Lab/boxer mix, in a cul-de-sac in Long Beach, CA, the dog’s bones were showing. “He seemed to be going from house to house to see which family would take him in,” remembers Lourdes Doyle.
Because of her five rescued cats, Lourdes was hesitant to adopt him. “I was afraid for the cats’ safety,” she says. But Leo was persistent. When the pooch decided to lie at her feet for hours on her patio, Lourdes knew that he was going to join the family.
Leo was gentle and friendly, but a bit hyper. “When he met the cats, I expected them to run,” says Lourdes. “Instead, they gathered around—and Leo panicked. He rolled over, exposed his stomach and started shaking with his legs in the air! The cats all got close, sniffed him up and down and seemed to give him the okay.”
Eager Leo took the feline stamp of approval and ran with it. Nowadays you’ll find him enjoying all kinds of family activities, like surfing with his dad at the local dog beach, taking rides in the car and going on vacations. “We include him in everything,” says Lourdes. “He even comes to church on Sunday!”
And this grateful pooch has discovered the perfect way to keep up to snuff with the resident kitties. “The alpha cat makes him pet her regularly!” says Lourdes with a wink.
