What a long and frustrating week it's been with the server. I'm so sorry, guys, I know it's been a big pain in the butt for everyone, including me, just know that I have been working constantly on this, staying up until midnight+ each night trying to get things back to normal.
The short of it is that after several database experts looking into this for us, it appears that our recent increase in traffic and upgrade to the new vbulletin has pushed us over what our server and memory can handle. They have optimized everything possible and I can not BELIEVE we already need to upgrade again, but it's definitely what needs to happen. Apparently our new vbulletin is quite a resource hog with some of it's features.
This morning I know we experienced several hours of downtime. This was due to them completely replacing and upgrading our server hardware, as well as doubling up our RAM from 2GB to 4GB.
All I can say is if this doesn't improve things, then nothing will :lol
Everything is finished, with the exception of some files that still need to be transfered over, but the bulk of it is done and you shouldn't experience much more (if any) downtime.
Everyone *should* notice quite a drastic improvement, but please keep me updated if you receive any more errors. Please do allow another hour or so for things to finish transferring over though. :D
